Does a detailed scope guarantee the price will never change?
No. It helps establish a clearer starting point, but concealed conditions, requested changes and unresolved selections may affect the work. Pricing and adjustments depend on the project agreement and the circumstances involved.
What is an allowance in a remodeling proposal?
An allowance is an amount allocated to an item or category that is not fully selected or priced in the proposal. Ask exactly what it includes, what related costs are covered and how differences are handled when the actual selection is made.
How should I compare two remodeling proposals?
